    Courses in BCA and at the university level do not tolerate plagiarism (For more information on plagiarism, see page 4 of the BCA Student Handbook). Students sometimes accidentally plagiarize, but at every level, it is taken as seriously as intentional plagiarism.

    In order for all students to benefit, this reference page is a collection of citation references and resources used by BCA teachers.

    • At BCA, APA requires the use of APA-style in-text citations--added in the line where a resource is referenced--and a reference list at the end of the document. 

      APA-style in-text citations vary based on the exact source, but generally it is placed in parentheses with the primary contributor's last name, the year of publication and the page number (if applicable) each separated by commas.  

      Reference lists are placed on their own page and titled Reference List. Each reference follows the below format:

      Contributors' names (Last edited date). Title of resource. Retrieved from http://Web address
